Kid had some sort of syndrome. No way that was just a spoiled kid.

It would be really interesting to see how some of you would handle such a child.

I don't blame the kid...I wouldn't want to go to Newark either. smile

I think the kid should go to the back of the plane and share a joint with me.
We both would mellow.

I think the kid has some sort of mental issues so as an adult I would have probably tried to remain calm and realize it's a special situation. But since I fly about every third week, I have invested in the best over the ear headphones I could afford.

Child in question has some kind of mental ordeal . Kids dont scream like that for 8 hours straight they would get bored and tired with that in about 30 min and every parent Ive ever met that has special needs children know the ins and outs and there safe place or security items or how to distract and calm them.... now if it was your average healthy little brat ,ladies and gentlemen do us all a favor and beat your children were trying to make the future productive members of society !

Just another in a long line of bs to put up with while flying. I have an audio headset and i start it as soon as i sit in my seat and wear it until the plane pulls into the gate, never would have heard the kid

Yeah a couple of hours in the air at 30 something thousand feet over the Atlantic would teach that boy a lesson.

didn't bother me at all, just thought it was funny. there are calming methods, but for the most part a meltdown just has to run it's course. every case is different though. We have less and less as my son gets older, but if he gets set off you just have to leave him be. cheers
