How big of a dog is a full meal for a Great Dane?

Beans or no beans in dog chili?

No beans. But they put noodles in it. Really more of a soup than a chili. You have to cook the dog a long time otherwise it gets tough.

My dog was doing that... I leave her in the yard when I go to work and based on her weekend behavior I got the idea she stands back there and barks at nothing all day.

Now my neighbors are not like right up on me, I have a big corner lot, really all the lots are good sized so there is some distance between houses but I am sure they can hear it.

Got her a barking shock collar. She barks, it beeps. She barks again, it vibrates, she tries again, she gets a static shock. Works like a charm!

She will still bark, she takes it like a champ, but ONLY if there is something to actually bark at.

And anyone who thinks those collars are mean I dont care... go fly a kite. They are great training devices. A well trained dog is a happy dog and a good citizen. People get these dogs and then dont take the time to learn how to properly train them. Dogs run amok, barking, jumping on people, no leash manners, will run away from people (i.e. no off leash skills) etc.

But to be be safe I shocked myself so I know how it felt. Its not bad. Like when you touch something metal and get a little shock. Feels like that. Not painful but will get your attention.

No it activates by sound. So I played some clips of dogs barking from You Tube. I could not fake a bark well enough to make it go off.

I just held it in my hand to get the shock, I did not shock my neck. That would be funny though... guy walking around with a shock collar on his neck barking to see if it will activate.

What if your idiot neighbor is the reason for the barking? I have a neighbor that I caught antagonizing the dog. She can bark at them all she wants. The neighbor on the other side sprays her with the water hose when she barks at him. She doesn't bark at him nearly as much.

FTR, I've gone through 2 different types of training aids. She jut pushes through it. She is quiet most of the day when outside. She starts barking when people start getting home from work. She now just comes inside.

you kicked the chit out of a dog trying to knock its teeth in? Prob good for you it was owned by an old lady then.

So he was just supposed to let the dog bust through the fence and attack his dog or even family? The dog got off easy in my opinion. Had it been me, it would have received a Barry Bonds type swing with a shovel right to the head.
Did i say he was doing/did anything wrong? I had to shoot a neighbors pit bull 2 years ago as i walked to my rural mailbox thats 1000' from my house that kept threatening my wife and I every time we got away from the house. It was owned by what appeared to be some crank heads and they thought they would give me chit afterwards, whole family of them scumbags too. Well to make a long story short the head scumbag came very close one day to getting what his uncontrollable dog got. I was happy they moved off some months after that and i never saw them again. I didnt hesitate nor would I hesitate again to put some 9mm's in the head of a dog that was threatening me, my family or pets.

Hence why I said he was lucky that it was an old lady owned dog because had it been owned by the type filth I dealt with im sure problems would have developed. Most people wont take responsibility for their dogs actions like they dont anything else.
