I was a Van Halen fan and A Sammy Hagar fan... but never a big fan of the combo. His best music was his solo music, he was great with Van Halen and let them live another 10 years. But I would pick his solo act any day over his Van Halen days. I saw Van Halen with both singers, The Van Halen with DLR wasn't that good of a concert live, DLR wasn't a good live singer, he was more of a studio musician. Hagar solo used to put on a great live shows and he could sing as well. He can still sing today, we saw him a few months ago and at age 70 he still has his voice.
