We generally hear only about the outstanding places (of which Tmans is the best).

Anyone care to comment on bad experiences?
Disclaimer: One bad experience should not condemn the restaurant. Everyone has a bad day once in a while. We are wanting to hear about the places that have bad days often.

The was worst one ever for me was Godzilla Ribs on Lake Travis. The beef ribs were not done, th ice tea tasted like dish water, and the Cole slaw was not even worth mentioning. I am sure this place did not stay open long.

Dickey�s is at least consistently terrible at all locations.

Some friends dragged me into Spring Creek BBQ a few years back. I�d had bad brisket before, but this was a whole new level of gruesome. Gray, cold lifeless meat�looked like someone put a corpse in a microwave

I prefer to eat lifeless animals.

It�s sure as hell easier.

Some of the worst BBQ I ever had undoubtedly was a result of my expertise. Some of the best was too. Mediocre BBQ comes from most places, like Euless Main BBQ, Dickies, Spring Creek, and Coulter's. I'm not sure I've ever seen a smoker at Dickies. BBQ chain stores will never reach 407 level as there is just no love or pride cooked into their products.

Coopers in New Braunfels served me some of the worst, and driest brisket as well as cabrito that I�ve ever had. If you�re going to have cabrito on your menu, at least do it right.

I like Rudy�s. I think they�re pretty darned good.

I have given Coopers several chances. Way overrated. I think city market in lLuling is better than all of the Lockhart places.

Colters. Worst I've ever had.

Went to Euless Main Street BBQ a couple of years ago for I think was just the second time I had ever been there. Evidently they have a black plate and a white plate both styrofoam. One is for all you can eat and the other just a one time meal. So I pick up a plate and realize I got the all you can eat and that�s not what I wanted so I pick up the other plate and go thru the line. I now have both plates in my hand when I get to the register. So the guy running the register goes off on me for having both plates as if I�m trying to pay for a single meal and go back for an all you can eat. Wants to know why I didn�t return the all you can eat plate back on the rack. I explain I�m just getting over the flu and didn�t want to return the plate since I had already handled it. That didn�t really seem to be a satisfactory answer for him. Long story but the result is I have never been back nor will I ever go back ....

I went to Euless Main for the first time about 12-13 years ago. There was nothing there that enticed me to ever return.

I was disappointed with Black�s BBQ. Rudy�s has awesome breakfast tacos.

Dickies is horrible, I guess at one time they had great food.

I have eaten at a few locations, Mc Donalds McRib may be better than Dickies......

Had some excellent and horrible BBQ at Cooper in Llano and Hard Eight in Stephenville.

Never understood how Bill Miller's stayed so busy.
