I'm relatively new to the area and have only been out to Lake Tyler a few times. Cabin fever is setting in and I was planning on heading out there in the next day or two. How is it this time of year? Thanks.

It's going to be like any lake right now. Water is cold and the odds are your not going to get a lot of bites. However, Tyler has some true giants in it and your 5 bites just might get you a 30lb sack.

Slow today... fished 3 hours this afternoon and had 2 bites on a Carolina rig, but it's normally really productive. GOOD LUCK!!

I'll check that out for sure. I didn't know they did that. I'm headed out tomorrow one way or another.

When Lake Tyler had grass, it was rattle trap heaven! Lots of brush piles on the lake!

Well we didn't catch any big ones today but we caught a bunch of them. Cold and windy. My 6 year old made it from 10 to 3:15. All of the fish we caught were in 5-8 feet on square bills. Nice little father-son day. Cool lake. I'll be back.

Definitely has some good fish in it. I prefer fishing the East lake.

I live on LTE. It's been too cold to fish.

Since I live on the lake and I'm retired, I'll go out this evening and see what I can turn up. I'll let you know.

Well, water is 47.8 degrees. I fished my regular bank lines. I didn't fish any deeper water. I did not get a bite. I'm sure they will be moving shallower and getting active at some point within the next two to three weeks or so. I'll let you know when I determine that is happening.
