Academy is notorious for forgetting to take things off clearance. You find new product at pennies to the dollar that should be full price. That's what I find more of. We bought a ton of a.t. jigs a few years ago that were stupid cheap. It's always good to watch item prices as they get rung up.

I scan all the prices to make sure they are correct. Between shoppers not putting items back where they found them and some of the rocket scientist that restock the shelves, take nothing for granted.
One issue I found at Academy that was a scam, I was looking to pick up a spare hub kit for my trailer, just in case. I opened one and someone had returned their old one in the case. I'm sure it was just a mistake on their part but they took the full refund I'm sure. When I brought it to the managers attention he just shook his head and removed it from the shelf.
So it isn't totally Academy's fault.

I was going to buy 2 spro frogs there on Sat. They were marked 3.99 on the cart in the aisle labeled Clearance. They rang up $10 each. I told the lady to take them off, I did not want them at that price. I said something about why does this always happen. She asked me how much they were shown to be on sale for and rang them up at 3.99 each. I asked are you sure and she said yes.

Use to get Oil for 19.99 cause they mis labeled it. I had a picture of the price on the shelves on my phone. always got it for 19.99. They have since fixed the issue. You're the Same level as a theif in my opinion. You might as well just take it without paying and see if they notice. I don't understand the mentality of "I should get to profit off your mistake" mentality. Part of what's wrong with this world today. Everyone thinks they are owed something.

You guys should start a quilting bee. Sound like a bunch of old ladies gripin' about their husbands. Good grief. Bunch of old hens b-tching about everything. Life's too short fellas. Man up and let's talk about some BIG ol fish! Or hunting...anything but Sue! (Sorry obscure reference!)

U picked me out of all others? Thanks for props and the laugh. If something is labeled for a price what would you pay? label on the shelf seems pretty clear, Oil was $19.99. I would say its lazy on Academy's part. Interesting interpretation. Wonder if you would still buy a truck if had a sales price of 30k but after negotiating they say we made a mistake, its 5 grand more. What would you do? What's your take on price matching? are the people that do this thieves?

If they never corrected their marked price then that's Academy's fault.

Academy has pluses and minuses. I've had really good luck returning stuff hassle free but have also overpaid for items they said were on sale (they also honored a clearance price when it rang up normal priced).
What I really don't like about my academy is they will have items on sale that are not advertised. I had 5 rods price checked before, 3 rang 10-15 lower than what was on the sticker. The checker had no idea why but did tell me if it rings up with a .98 or .95 then its an on sale item. I just don't like not knowing exactly what I'm getting.

Ok, that would be theft. I definitely would not be online admitting to that. I have never tried to do that.
Heck I told them every time, they just never corrected it till recently.

This is getting old. When you walk through Academy think about the number of products that are in the store, there is easily over 100,000. If 500 have an incorrect price that is .005 (one-half of one percent). Of course they make mistakes, and anytime I have questioned them they honor the correct price.

You made it seem like you had an old picture you would use to get the oil for 19.99, like they ring it up for 26.99 and you cram this picture of it on a shelf for 19.99 In front of their face. I'm not saying you should go out of your way to point out mistakes to retailers. What I'm saying is when someone goes off because they mis placed something on an isle and it rings ups corrrct price I think it's wrong of people to pound this "you have to honor it Attitude" it's basically theft any way you want to call it. If you make a mistake and post your boat for sale and leave off a zero by accident should you have to honor that price? Why should retailers
