Oh yea, almost forgot to mention that bubble gum color hanging on a vintage steel rod by the fireplace that I retired after catching 63 Keeper crappie (not sure how many under or bass or bream) and going through at least half a dozen sickle ball head jigs...in the process (thank you 20 lb Braid). Funny thing about Laners baits, if you dont scuff them up with some sandpaper, you have to catch a dozen fish before they get roughed up enough to get bit really fast...dont ask me why, but I always got some plumbers wet sand paper in my box just for Laners baits....course it could just be me, but hey, whatever works, I will do...

The biggest problem I have found with Laners baits are that they are near impossible to peel off a jig to change colors. Found it much easier to keep them rigged and retie if I want a change.

great post! another example that crappie and baitfish can be almost anywhere, at any time,at any depth or temperature. those who think outside the box, fill the box !!!! fish

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Thank you all very much! I would have never thought the fishing would've been so good on a day like that, but I do love surprises. Fishing like this really boosted my confidence for finding fish that were actively feeding on bait, as opposed to fishing around structure like I always have in the past.
