Addendum: Football "helmets" must be weaker or something, probably because they are lighter. Back when I played, when many of us did last century, we did not have near the head injuries that are happening now. The Southlake Carrol coach seems to be getting his bell rung now.

I believe that, because of increased awareness, there seems to be more concussions now than in the past. I am not convinced the number has increased, but the number of reported concussions sure has. I had my bell rung numerous times when I was young and no one knew but me and I sure was not going to tell anyone.

Can you blame parents for wanting to get out of places like Crowley, Everman, Fort Worth isd, mid cities districts, Arlington for God's sake. The fact that the parents worked hard to rise up and make it to places like Southlake, Aledo, Allen, etc should be praised. Some of you have a touch of racist about you and must think people should live in certain areas. Shameful

Your post is the one thats shameful... nobody said a darn thing that was racist or that certain folks should live in certain areas. Nobody faulted parents for working hard to better themselves. Theres a big difference in working your way up and having someone give you success because your offspring is good at a sport. I'd say you sir are the one that looks down on others as lesser people. nearly every post you make proves that point. Glad you had success in your life, but I really wonder how you can walk anywhere without tripping over stuff with that nose pointed so high in the air.
