Take one with glass in the front -- it protects your eyes from a stray jighead.

I use the full head protection helmet. Covers head, face, and chin. The only problem is the face shield fogs up while stopped.

I use my flip up full face helmet when running in very cold weather.

I have a Save Face mask I use in warmer months if raining or cool morning takeoff, but this time of year on a long run, full face helmet with flip up eye guard is best for me. I always thought it was kinda dumb until I drew a guy in a pro am years ago that had (2) in his boat.
I bought one before that next weekend...it's amazing how warm you stay compared to face shields or sock face masks.
You can find them on Craigslist pretty cheap

I would have loved to had one yesterday!! Running 65mph and 38 degrees my face mask was no help

I was told years ago if you're going to wear a motorcycle helmet in a boat don't strap it.

Motorcycle helmet with flip face. Cold or raining it's amazing ^^^THIS^^^, and yes I have, works great on long winter runs offshore. Keeps spray off glasses too. Get the one with chin guard and full face shield,

I use my Save Phace year round. With all the surgeries done on my right eye, it is really sensitive to wind and the Save Phase keeps bugs away too.
Snowflakes and entitled brats will be the doom of America!

I was told years ago if you're going to wear a motorcycle helmet in a boat don't strap it. okay why If you get thrown out of the boat the helmet fills with water. Could cause more problems than it solves.

Come off if you get thrown out of the boat. I personally just wear a pair of clear ski goggles of raining...
