Do you know how stupid you have to be to get caught committing a crime? pretty un-wise or impaired or desparate to risk getting caught by making the decision to commit a crime. probably pretty easy to get caught once you cross that threshold.

Jailed once while in college, luckily I grew up in a small town where we knew the deputies and officers. Probably could of been rung up at least a dozen more times but we went home when they asked, unlike some of my friends.

I've felt the cold harshness of handcuffs, but I've never been arrested.
...don't plan on it either!

Arrested? Twice.
But not jailed or convicted on either count. 1st one was a DWI in college. Had refused to blow so was arrested and taken to jail. Once there, they gave me "one more chance" to take the breathlizer and simply ticket me rather than spending the night in jail. Luckily I blew a .08. At the time that was legal and they had to retrieve my car from impound and release me. Stupid lucky... but learned my lesson on drinking and driving.
2nd time was doing a work buddy a favor and stopped at his house to grab some fishing gear for him. (He was meeting me at the lake a few hours later). He gave me a key to his garage BUT NOT THE ALARM CODE. I threw all his fishing gear in my truck and was pulling out of the driveway when the cops blocked my exit. Dipstick had run out of battery on his cell and didn't bother to recharge it until I was an hour late meeting him at the lake. When he finally showed up at the jail to spring me I was so mad I wanted to kick his rear on the spot. Needless to say that was my last fishing trip with him. What??,...................unreal!, there is a guy over on the THF that had the same thing happen !!
I never met a fish I didn't like,........

Does letting a prostitute put handcuffs on you count I would say yes,,,,,, because you're probably getting ready to lose every penny you have.

'81 or '82, Cuffed and in the back of a Nacogdoches County Sherriff squad car is the closest.
Charged: Drunk (maybe three beers in) and starting a fight in a bar (clocked a drunk regular who thought he was being funny by asking me to dance because all the girls in our group had turned him down).
When I told the owner of the bar I would be filing a complaint with TABC right after I called my Attorney I was suddenly out of the car, cuffs off and told to leave and not come back.

As a teenager, just cuffs on in the back of the patrol car for an hour, little fight at school, lost. Deputy told me to shape up or get better at fighting, as being of slight stature, the guys in county would be partial to me if I ever got locked up, scared the .... out of me never a problem again.

3x in a short period of time between 18-21. The last time was Harris County for 2days. I found out that is not a place I wanted to be. 22 yrs since I had a cross conversation with a cop.
