JIM SR.: I bought some bicycle handlebar grip material to wrap my kayak paddle shaft. It worked great, and I'll bet it would make really soft, vinyl-wrapped rod handles. Only problem is What I have left is white, which would probably get horribly dirty and stained. It comes in lots of colors and is cheap, once you find a bike shop that stocks it. Mine came from a bike shop in San Francisco, if I remember right. About $8.00 mailed.

tennis racket handle wrap..I've used that. Prefer cork and use black tennis racket wraps. Magic eraser when I replace the wrap.

Jump on mudhole.com and look at the grip wraps that they have.

Jackie needs wraps in a catfish slime/shad scale/shad gut pattern so he won't notice when they get dirty.
