Most kids figure out it is a net loss of presents if they tell you they know. They will hang on as long as you do.

When mine figured it out and finally asked me. I asked them back who sees you when your sleeping, knows when your awake, knows if youve been bad or good. They said you and Mom know all that.
Then told them as long as they acted good Santa gifts would still show up. Great response!

At 9 and 11, they know. I can remember exactly when I found out, a neighbor girl a year older than me made fun of me for still believing. I was 5. I marched right to my folks and told them they needed to straighten her out. They fessed up and I was devastated. I still don't like that b---- lol I bet her white knight never showed up on his horse,....and she's a mean spinster,.............................

I don't even know what that means TG I've prob got the last weird kids in school over this and an ole lady pissed because I just wanna get it over with and make it known It's a line from the Tim Allen movie "The Santa Clause". Don't let your wife overthink it. I went through the "Santa is not real" thing with my son and granddaughter. They figure it out on their own and with their friends, so it's not as big a deal to them as it is to a parent.

Had siblings so mom says you tell them and no more gifts from Santa (they were always the big ones) sooooo I believe til like 18 lol

my 9 year old found out this year when my wife was watching the credits to bad moms....
seems the are laughing about the lies they tell kids about santa and the tooth fairy and what not.
My daughter confronted my wife and was pretty mad we were lying to her.
