Commercial income from the lakes is very secondary to property values, taxes, and incomes generated from land and businesses that depend on the water provided.

This is true but we need water to survive. Sometimes Id rather fish it than drink it though.

My question is when is the Metroplex going to be put on some sort of full time water control measures? Lawns do not need to be watered every day. Everyone should be stewards of our resources.

Residents in most municipalities are restricted on days they can irrigate their lawns.

3 or 4 years ago during the drought a person on the board for trwd said in 11 months they pumped 1 1/2 times Eagle Mountain into
Eagle Mountain and we were still 11 ft down. The recreaction aspect means nothing . It is all about selling water. When the lake was so low they closed twin points simply because other ramps were closed and they were so many people using it was too much trouble for them because they had to put a employee on duty to keep from over filling the parking lot. They would love to close all lakes to fishing and stuff. Public pressure just wont allow it.
