The nurse said no to having saliva mixed with the test specimen afterwards.

again let her get the implant in her arm. Doesn't even require a stitch. Yeah but there can be some severe hormonal issues that make PMS look like a calm day.

The nurse said no to having saliva mixed with the test specimen afterwards. You don't ask the nurse. Just send 'em in, they can see fine under the microscope with some 'extra' fluid in the sample. All 3 of mine were ... 'compromised' lets say, and they were able to test it fine.

Extraordinarily liberating, but also one of the worst experiences of my life. I selected a doctor based on a recommendation from my bug guy. He said the nurse was smoking hot. The actual procedure was pretty awful, but manageable. I did not do a great job following instructions to stay off my feet. I walked all around bass pro shop on day two and went to fish Camelot Bell on day 3 or 4. Long story short I wound up in extreme pain. I think I called the doctor 4 different times to complain. On the fourth time he basically called me a sally. I said, listen man, by boys have gone black. This can't be normal. He said how black? I said, as black as the night sky. He said, you mean just a bruised spot? I said no, it's like 80% coverage. My wife didn't believe me either. Gave her a peak and took her breath away.
It seriously probably took me 4 months to get back to normal. The force is strong now. Good luck and follow directions.

Ice pack and doing absolutely nothing are your friend. Had it done on a Friday, 32 years ago and was back to work on Monday....not ready to run a race but back to work. You feel perfectly fine immediately afterwards but, and they will tell you this, don't do anything. Go home and find a comfortable chair to sit in to do nothing. Any other choice and you will regret it. ^This^ Of all people had the MiL drive me to & from the clinic, our 3d had a real rough start in life and the wife was tied up taking care of him. Don't remember being given anything stronger than advice to take aspirin/Tylenol as needed for pain/discomfort. Surgery Thursday, spent virtually every minute of a long weekend F-S-S-M sitting in recliner with ice pack. Back to work Tuesday, orders for no lifting, running, bouncing &c. Within couple weeks everything healed up and activities as usual.
Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Burning? They used a scalpel on mine. Glad they didn't burn them off back then.

me either, wife has the implant and that works great. Also not getting any is keeping us from a third kid.

Hurts like he77 but the worst part is the smell of yourself burning. I made quite a scene when I smelled something burning, and asked what the f was going on. He told me not to be concerned. I informed him that if my sack is smoking and smells like its burning, he better think again about how he replies. He changed his mind, and described the current cauterization step.

I got it done for my 22nd Christmas present from my old man. I had a boy and a girl by then. Old doctor did not give me enough anesthesia and I told him I could feel my nose coming out when he pulled the first tube. Told me to go home, put my feet up and drink a 6 pack of beer. Put bags of frozen peas down there for a few hours. All worked out fine and we had the neighbors over for dinner and served them the peas. That was 46 years ago. I swear it looked like the guy was trying to start a lawnmower. Danged near pulled me off of the table.

When I had it done, we had good friends over for supper a couple of days later. I put on a couple of my wife's earrings and met them at the door. They knew immediately the whole surgery had a bad outcome.

Burning? They used a scalpel on mine. Glad they didn't burn them off back then. Had mine done in 1975 (+/-) and first the tug (thought the Dr. was doing a tonsillectomy from down there), then the scalpel to cut the vas deferens and then cauterize all 4 ends so they wouldn't leak squigglies or grow back together. YMMV . . . . .
