That's where I'm at Slade. I think it's a natural evolution of most sportsmen. You go from wanting to catch a limit. To wanting catch a quality limit. To wanting to catch a giant. When you get really old like some folks on this forum the goal then becomes teaching the young bucks how it's done. Haha. I've been the lucky beneficiary of others getting to that last stage!

I believe ya buddy, wink-wink... Honestly, most of these younger guys, can't imagine the shear numbers of big fish Fork had in the 80's to upper late 90's.. Not too mention, how different physically the lake looks today.

I agree 100% Billy. I started fishing Fork in 1986, before boat lanes, before boat docks, before tournaments and before 70mph bass boats. I got from point A to point B by the trees. In other words I turned left at a certain tree, turned right at a certain tree and so forth. The creeks were easily defined and it made navigating easy. All those trees are gone now. Those who were fortunate enough fish Fork back in those days miss THAT Lake Fork and cheese burgers at Rainswood for lunch.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

Ahh Yes!! Rainswood CB's....

Ole Grouchy-Gut Bill Kells & The Best burger in town back in the day. I sure do miss him. A lot of folks didn't get along with Bill but he and I shared some great times on the lake together.

He guided some back in the day and every client he took all the way back in Birch, I mean waayyy back in Birch. Probably burned less than a gallon of gas. I got along good with Bill. All you had to do was brag on his cheese burgers and homemade apple pie. Miss 'ol Bill.
