I like my Kahr PM9 for summer carry and my Springfield XD9 Sub Compact for winter.

I carry a Kahr CW 45 pocket carry in a Sticky holster. It is all a personal preference. I would suggest you go to a range and rent a few different types of handguns to see which will fit your needs and that you can shoot accurately.

Thank you for everyone's advice and comments. Since I have several revolvers, I've decided to stay with that platform. I am buying the Ruger LCRx .38spl 3" barrel w/ a Sticky LG-4 holster. I shot it today and the recoil is something I will need to practice with, but I wanted more than a snubnose for better accuracy in a 15yard shot. I was nowhere near the target with the 1.87" barrel LCR. I'm not bad with the 3", but practice will make it even better. It's not the perfect carry gun for most people, but it will be for me. Buying from grabagun.com, and thanks Billyboy for that suggestion. They have the best price that I found anywhere....and I can pick it up and save FFL fee.
Again, I appreciate all comments. I'm signed up for my LTC class for next week, so I'm finally on my way. I should've done it a long time ago, but I just hope now that I never have to use it.
Good carrying! Good deal Tom glad to help bud.. Lake Fork Firearms, right near my house on 515, has a great LTC class. Lance Vick is the instructor, he's an awesome guy... Plus we could, crappie fish down south on Fork, or run over to Monti.... Dang....if I would have known sooner, I would have taken you up on that offer. Already paid my class cost for this coming Tuesday at Eagle Gun Range in Lewisville.
