What fluorocarbon line do you use for pitching jigs and in what pound test? I use Invizx 20# but it is a little thick compared to some others. Just thought I would see what everyone else uses. I am only asking about fluorocarbon, not braid.

Same as you! 20lb InvisX in heavy cover. Often back off to 17lb for T-rigs or pitching jigs in slightly more open conditions. If you haven't tried the 17lb it feels exponentially more manageable and supple to me than the 20lb.

Good, I will try the 17#. The 20 gets a little stiff especially in cold weather and gets a little harder to pitch with effectively.

Naturally "thicker" line should be stronger. Not sure about you, but I like the strongest line available when pitching a jig. 20-25 pound Gamma or Trilene 100% are my 2 favorites.

If you want a thinner diameter line but in the same pound test, Sunline FC Sniper or Shooter is your answer. That's what I use. I either use 16# or 20#.

20# AbrazX or InvizX. Usually AbrazX. Line diameter shouldnt really matter when flipping. Its a reaction strike. Outside of how it feels, which would be an odd consideration when sending out no more than 10 yards of line at a time, it shouldnt matter. IMHO.
If you can't find em wind em.

Typically throw 20# sunline or invisX on all my flipping and pitching setups, sometimes have one rod with 25# line if I know Im fishing heavy stuff that day like big cedar trees. I just feel like I get more bites on 20# line and I have never used below 20# line when flipping
Thanking the lord for another day on the water

Fine, I'll say it. 20# Sunline Shooter. With Sunline having thinner diameter line, it's just a hair bigger than 17lb InvisX.

Good, I will try the 17#. The 20 gets a little stiff especially in cold weather and gets a little harder to pitch with effectively. I would not go below 17 EJ. I use 17 InvisX for casting but I am not comfortable using 17 for the Up Close & Personal stuff. As soon as you do, you will get The Bite.
