Best dog ever was a german shepard/ Doberman mix. His neck and chest was built like a shepard but the head and legs of a Doberman so his head was smaller than his neck which caused him to not wear a coller. Saw him jump straight up and grad a dove flying about seven feet in the air which is impressive for his 140lb bulk. Yorkies and Chihuahuas have also been good for us.

I've owned a couple oh Chihuahuas and neither one was mean. They were some great dogs. I also owned a couple of weimaraners that I would recommend to anyone.

Best dogs? Labs
Worst dogs? Labs
One lab will refuse a shrimp head.
Three labs? Eat them like popcorn.

Mutts are probably the best and most healthy...no inbreeding.

As for a specific breed...nothing beats the awesomeinessiness of the Doberman Pinscher!

Addendum: None of the dogs shown were mine, but I had a couple that looked this incredible. They could have led an army into battle!

English cocker retriever....spent many afternoons sitting on a dove bucket with this little brown dog's tail thumping against my leg and she
retrieved hundreds of doves for me in her 13 year life span....
R.I.P. Blue.....

My buddy got a wire haired pointing griffon a few years ago. I had never heard of the breed. Incredible family dog and he says she is the best natural hunting dog he has seen.

A cockapoo mix. The smartest damn dog I have ever had. Learns everything we teach her. She doesn't shed and bark at everyone coming to the house, until we tell her to be quiet. Good dog and I still call her puppy at 7 1/5 years old.

The 2 smartest dogs I've ever had was a Cairn Terrier and a Manchester. The dumbest was an Irish setter.

The most fun and enjoyable one we've had, is our current Brittany. I just wish we could have got him as a pup, to have more training time with him.

Some folks mouths, flat out runs their minds.

I grew up with Dobie's. I would have one now, except The Boss is terrified of all dogs. She has been bitten three times by three different ones. She goes into full blown panic mode when someone walks their ESA dog into her personal zone.

I will drop kick a Chihuahua.
