That is a big longnose! I bet it was a blast! I've accidentally caught one on that was about 3 1/2 feet long and it put up a big fight

She got in the way while we were cat fishing. Good fish but she broke some hearts, we were for sure we had a 50+ pound catfish. 36lbs.  awesome gar! Did you happen to get a measurement?
