I did the same thing with my art, my music, youtube, Soundclick, probably a few years earlier, with lots of music.

I created a character, did videos, refused to be part of the machine that by chance would see "my talent." Instead, I did it all on my own.

I even wrote two books, in hopes that I would one day "be known."

I'm known in guitar forums and fishing forums as Indianation65, and by my friends as a current teacher, and someone who writes, sings and plays music/books.

The "dream" happens for a few, but it's rare.

Addendum II: You are a voice in this awful world, knocking Gene and Ted, conservatives who are "clean-bodied," but you admire Scott Weiland, a drug addict? I like all of them, and I won't bad-mouth our President. The "left" does that enough.

I have to admit, that until reading this thread, I thought your name was 65 String Mercenary. For some reason, I always thought you were born in 65. Now I get it. Be thankful you have learned how the game is played and find a way you can still play it your way with more $. Lots of ways to play lots of games, find a different game and play it with what you have learned over the last ten years.
