If only everyone there had been carrying there sidearm, so many lives could have been saved. Doubtful, shooter was way to far away. Should have been a sniper overwatch posted to stop the shooter quickly, this needs to be done for security for future large events...

He had 50 pounds of Tannerite in his car...imagine him using that on a crowd. Get rid of tannerite too or just call him cray-cray and move along?

I know Academy sells Tannerite....what are the uses besides watching a coke bottle explode?

Just a question here for the guys that say they shouldn't ban the bump stocks. The argument is mainly that the gun doesn't do the killing and I agree but what if true autos were legal and the guy had the real deal with a belt fed set up? What's the real difference in having a device to make a gun function like full auto vs the real thing is what I'm getting at? Personally, I really don't mind if they band them or not but I think that sadly in today's world we kind of have to take the bad apples approach. You know, a few bad apples ruins the fun for everybody. No, I don't think guns should be banned but I just really don't see a difference between a real full auto vs a device that makes a gun full auto.

i bet they made quite a bit of money on the bump stock BUT im betting its about to come to an end when they ban them. Took one idiot to help get rid of the confederate flag and takes one idiot to get a gun part banned. Im against anything being banned but no one ask me anything before they do it.

I'd kinda prefer the ATF/DOJ to rule against it and put an end to the political posturing in Congress.

gun debate was over when 20 children were murdered and we called it a false flag.

If this guy had used his bipod and a decent scope, with a little know-how he could have killed many more people by taking aimed shots. The bumpstock allowed him to put a lot of rounds towards the crowd, but none of them were really aimed.
I have no use for a bumpstock, but I don't think they should be banned, and I'm not sure how much good it would do, because it seems like you can fire a semi-auto in a similar fashion without one. He also had a lot of ammonium and tannerite in his vehicle parked at Mandalay Bay. This guy was a terrorist. I'm tired of giving up rights/conveniences/abilities because terrorists commit horrible acts. I don't disagree with your last statement. But if modern automatic weapons are illegal to own, then why are devices that make a weapon operate like an automatic weapon not regulated in the same way? these modifications are like designer drugs . Pot ,crack, ect are illegal because of a certain chemical compound in them then somebody makes somthing like bath salts or whatever that is a drug that the gov catches up with later then bans . Simply put its cuz it's new which these slide fires aren't that new they just suddenly made headlines

I'd kinda prefer the ATF/DOJ to rule against it and put an end to the political posturing in Congress. Agreed. That way it's only a regulatory control, rather than precedent-setting legislation.

gun debate was over when 20 children were murdered and we called it a false flag. Who did that? Anyone reputable? There are people that believe the earth is flat. I don't randomly bring them into discussions but perhaps I should.
