the fiskars pruning snips are what i have settled on after trying many different ones. They're designed for pruning rose bushes, they're compact, cut braid very well and run about $8 at walmart.

Have 2 pairs of 'The Boomerang Snip Tool'. Best cutters I have ever had. Cuts braid without even having too stretch it out! Plus its pocket size so you can carry it anywhere.

Looking to get a good pair. I have the boomerang clippers but they are getting dull. Let's hear the suggestions! Chris/All, Boomerang Clippers do become dull after a year or so. All "scissors" do just like razor blades. But, there is a way to extend the time a Boomerang is functional. Note that of the two blades, one is serrated, the other not. And, these two blades are not centered but off to one side of the grip. Be sure and cut with the serrated blade "down" and the blades nearest you, not away from you. To this, the last tip is to insert the braid all the way back into the jaw, then close them. The braid will wedge into an angle between the intersection of the two blades, about a 45 degree angle. It'll hold the braid better, allow for cutting even as the blades dull off. What, maybe extend the usefulness 2X??? Brad

I'm surprised no one mentioned Buck "Splizzors" here. Replacable blades, pliers included, and a nice sheath. cuts through braid like a fart through your drawers.

The small cuda scissors are the best I've found. I also have a pair from hobby lobby that are good but a little big to me. If the cudas wear out I might try the pit bull ones but for a few bucks the visa ones are well worth it

I've had 3 different brands of"braid" scissors and all got dull fast Wife is a retired ER nurse. I found out that her retired trauma shears are the best I've seen. You can even find your perfect color if you look around. Amazon, or local scrub shop.
