I need to get one for Arthur, my sig. Anyone have recommendations?
Garmin, Dogtra, Sportdog? I want something high-end for him with good range, waterproof, stimulation, vibration and tone. Barking setting would be a bonus.
He just got back from obedience training and I want to keep it going.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

I had a PetSafe bark collar for my dog, and she figured out that she could make a higher pitched, almost squeak sound and it would not activate the collar. It was actually more annoying than the barking.
I ended up going with a SportDog with the handheld remote for range. It definitely works. She was so stubborn I had to keep turning it up but she finally got the message.
The only thing I don't like about the SportDog that I do like about PetSafe and others is that on the SportDog it won't automatically tone and then shock. On PetSafe it tones before the shock, or you can set it to only tone. That way when they hear the tone they know (or think) the shock is coming and you can go from tone+shock to tone only as they learn.
With the SportDog you would have to push the tone button, then push the shock button.

I always used Tri-Tronics as well when I used to train gun dogs.

Sport dog and DTS are the same thing. They are actually family members. Either one is good, I use DTS because the model I wanted was less money from them.
That is a beautiful dog.

Had good luck with Tri-Tronics and DTS on my bird dogs, I think I have 4 2dog DTS sets somewhere in the shop matter of fact.

I bought a Sport Dog four years ago. Price was right and was exactly what I needed. Battery stopped holding a charge last year, though.

Dogtra or Tritronics (Garmin now, I think).

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
I'll pass on the kind words to Arthur in the form of a bone.
