Lake Lavon Fishing Guide Report: Yup. I’m still around. Still strong as ever. Just post on FB more. White Bass: The fish have been out on the main lake humps 30-40 foot deep. Early in the morning they will run up in 15 foot of water on shallow points and then regroup in the deep water humps. Not a lot of surface action if it's only brief. If so, and if you're ready, throw a paddle tail swim Bait 3 to 4 1/2 inch or 3 to 6 inch top water. Otherwise use a 1 ounce or 2 ounce slab with a jig tied 18 inches above for a two banger. Chartreuse or white slabs. Once you get on them, you should be able to limit within an hour. There have been a couple mornings that we limited out within 15 drops to the bottom, using a slab and a jig tied at top you catch two keepers. 13 drops you’ll have to release one of them because that would be 26. And it is actually common on the boat to limit in 13 drops. Especially when they are as thick as they are on the humps. They are approximately 10 to 20 foot thick depending on the morning - solid wall of fish. Catfish: channel cats are spawning and lots of action immediately when we get to the spots, there is no waiting around. Slip bobber one foot to 4 foot right in front of submerged button willows bushes. You are wasting your time if you are more than 2 feet away from the bushes. Your bobber should be 6 inches to a foot outside of the bushes. Pre baiting with sour grain in a place where there are lots of bushes in one to 4 foot of water Helps you out tremendously. Especially if riprap is close. Crappie: 7-18 ft on structure. Some still roaming. Slow with gates open. Capt. Carey Thorn 469-528-0210 Let’s get y’all on the Fish. Give me ring or text! 95% of the trips right now we are catching our limits within one hour. Singles welcome! Whenever I have a cancellation or reschedule I post Hot Trips on my Facebook page. Sometimes they’re only $100 a seat to a limit!

a lot of the times you can’t even reach the bottom as they will grab it before it even comes close and you’ll hook up! Absolutely insane action.

Had my favorite Vip client and he always brings a sports celebrity with him every Monday and Tuesday- May through October. Whether it be the NFL NHL or MLB, he always brings someone famous with him. Today it was Darren McFadden retired NFL player. Right when we got to our area of submerged trees we picked one to five fish off of each tree. Within two hours, we were at 38 Fish and then the wind all of a sudden picked up and it was white capping. We left and went into a protected cove hidden from the wind, but the fish would only rise up on the Jig and then nose dive and refuse it. The wind front shut them down for a little while. So we ran over the glass house and got our limit of 50 fish, within 30 minutes of white bass. One of my previous customers was already on the fish and had them riled up, so it didn’t take very long at all. Went in and turned them into groceries.
