Carey, what is the glue you use when you replace the soft plastics on a jighead?

Quick lock. Has the squeezable plastic sides to push the glue out the top.

Thank you for posting your reports. It really helps people like my family who don't get to go very often.

I took today off and planned to take my two sons to Lavon today. They got out of school this week, we just finished up baseball this week, and summer has arrived! I got the pontoon out this week and got her all cleaned up and lake ready. And this dang wind! I don't think we will battle 30mph winds.

I was wondering if Mallard is open yet? I noticed Thursday when driving up 78 that they repaved the road into Mallard. The gate was shut. I wanted to see their paving job and how much they paved. That park needed it desperately. Amazing what opening up some federal funds will do!

Fishing had been fantastic.

We are catching them on the surface with poppers or Coho's

Using slabs from RSR lures, when they are not blowing bait out of the water.

Some days the fish are on the surface, then some days there just laid up on mainlake points.

White has been key.

Sometimes the fish are suspended between 18 and 25 foot. You will have to count down to them in order to get a bite.

They are very plentiful. Our boat show today was four boats.

Before the storm we were steadily catching them at Glass House today. That is located directly north of East Fork

Just like most lakes, you have to weed through some yellow bass sometimes.

Fish of been going absolutely crazy in the mornings and then in the evenings.

Look for them laid up during the day on deep points around 18 to 25 foot.

Sorry I was missing informed. The East Fork ramp on the main lake is opened. The one in the protected cove by the marina is still closed since the flood of 2007. Guess the COE ran out of fund...

But it's mostly South wind in the summer time, so the ramp is still safe to launch.

A little slow for me and the kiddos today.. we caught plenty but mostly yellows. We were out about 6-8:30pm seemed like the pescados were scattered. I would call them in with rod splashing and thumping the boat.. catch a few and then they were gone. Saw some sporadic topwater but couldn't get to them quick enough! Fished power plant point, hybrid and the island. Good stuff thanks for sharing and great pics!

About the same for me. Hit glass house, the island, hybrid point and little ridge. Not much marking and what did wasn't there long.

Island tip points at it. Directly east from tip. Huge flat with fingers.
