I have some old ugly stiks that have seen better days mostly the guides are shot. Is it worth it to have them repaired or should I just buy new ones?

I would buy new ones, unless rod repair or builds is your hobby and you've got the time. Paying someone else certainly wouldn't be worth it, apart from sentimental value.

Our Scoutmaster for the last 8 years is stepping down. We want to get him a nice fishing rod and would like to get the Troop Patch, his name, and years of service added to the rod. I don't even know where to start. Anyone have any suggestions?

Still dabbling in reel repair and ugprades myself. Been at it for awhile. Most of my customers these days are old repeats but still get new ones occasionally. Don't have a formal business name like the others but offer the exact same service. Use only the best grease and oil that I can find after scouring countless forums and seeing what is regarded as the best. Anyways...
