Looking for someone local to DFW area ( I live in Watauga) for some rod repair.

I have a Dobyns Fury casting rod that needs a new tip,

I have a Shimano Intenza casting rod that needs a new ceramic guide insert on the tip,

and a Falcon HD spinning rod that needs a new tip.

Shoot me a direct message on here, or you can also text me @ 817-nine eight zero-1238 (Ray)

I know I could probably send these in on warranty to get repaired, but I figured out would reach out to someone local so I wouldn't have to deal with shipping issues/delays/etc....

How to fix???? This is by far my favorite rod....it’s a Shimano Crucial and the EVA foam grip has come loose. The grip itself is not torn. I was thinking of trying to re-glue it back, I can’t get all of the old glue out of the handle. I’m not opposed to having someone fix it. They just need to be local. I’m in Dallas. Any thoughts?????[Linked Image]

I think you can glue it back. Just try to clean off the old glue and then re-glue with some rod builders epoxy glue. I got two rods that I need to repair and that is what Im going to do. I ordered a small amount 40 minute epoxy glue from Mudhole.com. I sent them a picture of my worse rod and that's what they told me to do to fix it.

I was thinking about trying that. Barlow’s is right down the street from me. I also had the thought of just cutting it off and putting a Winn wrap on it. Thanks

In Rockport you have Smith Custom Rods at 830-708-8889 for custom build or repair. Also in Rockport there's Riekers and Sons for a custom build or repair at (469) 267-9196. I have a full custom rod from each as well as a repaired rod from each and they're all fantastic. The only reason to go with one over the other is probably turn-around time, you never know which one is able to get it done quicker.
