nothing at all on Pool 5. Pools 3 and 4 got quite a bit of rain, but it will mainly effect areas south not the pools themselves. Right now, in Pool 5 the river is dropping or steady.

the storm went east of shrevport, but rhe river has been effected by the release of water from texoma. the river was up about 8 to 10 inches and flowing fast on my last trip, water was pushing into red river souths marina area. texoma has been releaseing more water this week then in past weeks, so i am surprised to hear steady or dropping.

I was glad I saw this post. I was wondering if Basschamps was going to have to change locations due to flooding. I was thinking that when the red river commission closed their ramps, red river south did also.

Word is Red River still sucks same as before the storm. High and Muddy Yes, it does. It didn't used to, but it does now. 10-12 years ago I drove over to fish it just for fun, but now I won't be back if I have a choice.

Well - we will see first hand this weekend. Heading over before Bass Champs cut off. Talked to some local buddies and they said its been tough. The biggest reason we are going to is look for places we can get into and out of safely. The river will be fine but the oxbows is what I really want to scout. From what I was told some of the best backwaters are completely blocked by sand bars...with some of those sandbars having trees growing in the middle of them now.
