Here is a pic of a great addition that is available for your Power Poles called a Drift Paddle. Very unique and useful when fishing open water during windy conditions (which is most of the time in our area) in deeper water and trying to stay on a break or at a certain depth, structure or cover and your trolling motor won't slow you down enough.
Several of the guys used these successfully at St. Clair to slow their drifts through key areas by up to 50%, including Christie when the wind was a factor.
Sure wish all this new stuff had been available when I was fishing several times a week...I'm broke all the time now trying to continually upgrade and keep my old Ranger 487VS current...

He is the real deal.

"..The pleasantist angling is to see the fish
Cut with her golden oars the silver stream,
And greedily devour the treacherous bait.
