Mark, on Mon.,the stickups right off Rocky Point in that little cove facing north. On Tues., the stickups on the east side of Rocky Point going back into the first big cove. Find the 4-5' of water and start jigging, I've been catching 'em on just about everything I've shown 'em.As far as fishing the front, yea , I'll probably fish at least one day either Fri. or Sat. I do stay away from the lakes on the holidays, gets kinda crazy with "regular" folk out there.Good luck!!

God willin', I'm fishin.

My EX-PARTNER Roy and Eddie the preacher have been going over and wading Rocky Point. Seems that they have been catching several crappie in the two pound range in the 4 - 5 foot range. I say ex-partner because I had to OOT this week for work and now I'm mad as a wet hen for not getting to go. Guess I will have to try to get an afternoon next week after the Easter snow.

Has anyone tried lake Champion? I know they were catching some nice LMB's a couple of weeks ago. I drove out and it sure looked like a good puddle of water for crappie. I don't even know if it has any crappie still in it. Anyone with any intel?

WOW! Not the day for fishing. Gonna stay inside and tie some flies and jigs. Sleet is coming straight down.

Hootie: No snakes in the main, east part of lake to dam, I guess if ya went west to where the Colorado comes in with all the brush ya might find some.

Heavy: Did ya make it out before the storm? Surly ya aint floatin around in this mess!

Thanks and Gig'em, Mark Fairchild

Big Cat, my Dad has been out there to Champion and caught Sandies and LMB's. No word abou the crappie, but I hear they are out there. You need a key to get into the lake and I just happen to have one.

Ketchum, can you get a boat out on Champion? Do I just need to get a key from the city? If you have a key I have the boat and the time...just need the weather.

Hootie the catfish is best cought on cut bait or shad...Liver always seems to work just not as good for the bigger fish... at least for me.

Heavy is not responding he will probably give a report tomarrow and say he cought a ton of fish from his tube and in the snow!

J/k

Nothing keeps him from finding a few fish.

Hoot, Son we're gonna have to get ya out to the BIG PINK! Pinkest water you ever saw, got so much sediment that alage cannot grow in the water.

I started to give a smart aleck answer to the Crappie House question, but you really have never been there. As they say, Go to JBT and ALL of your questions will be answered. (Be prepared for a little less than you might be expecting.)

Thanks and Gig'em, Mark Fairchild

Dave! Been too busy to get out to the pink water lake. I've been working a lot! Hope to get out soon. We were going to Amistad this weekend, but the weather stopped that.
