Looking at both these aluminum boats (19ft range). Center console, camo versions to both fish & hunt. Any comments/recommendations between these 2 boats? Using the Boat Builder apps on both their sites it seems the Lowe boat has more options (and looks to be higher priced) and is where i am leaning.....

My cousin has a 20' Lowe 2070 CC with a 115 Merc on it. It is a decent boat, but It is far from being a Scandy or Boat Right. It will flat out rattle your teeth out in chop too. The compartments won't keep anything dry and the hull is too thin IMO at .100". The Tracker's I have looked at and worked on had poor craftsmanship all over them. I have welded more than a few cracks on Tracker, Lowe, Xpress, and Alumaweld boats over the years FWIW.

Be sure you are comparing apples to apples.Tracker has low advertised prices and minimal options from the factory. They offer the low price with the smallest motor they can use, usually a 40HP, maybe a 60. At any rate the boat is delivered from the factory woefully underpowered. For a 18-19ft boat, I would want at least a 90HP. My Seaark 1872 has a 90 and there are days I wish I had more. Look at the builders spec plate and get the biggest motor that the boat is rated for. You will not regret spending the extra money. Also the trolling motor and electronics on both boats are going to be low end so you may want to negotiate leaving those off and buying aftermarket, which you will probably end up doing anyway. My buddie's Crestliner came with a Lowrance with a 5" screen and it's pretty much useless.

Don't overlook The Xpress XP series boats. I bought one 4yrs ago and haven't regretted it yet. Found it to be better constructed and cheaper than Lowe or Tracker once the deal was done. There are better boats to be had, but for the price my Xpress has held up well to my use.
My advice on the color, unless you need the camo color, consider a white or off-white as they will be much cooler in the sun. I can walk on mu boat barefooted and couldn't even hold my hand on the deck of a camo boat in the sun.
Like I said, there are better boats to be had, but at significantly higher prices. Any mod-v will be rough in chop, it's simply unavoidable due to the design. if one wants a good rough water ride, a hyperlift hull from xpress or a step up to a glass rig would be the way to go.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Hydro turf the deck, it isn't cheap but you feet and back will be happier. It's a lot more forgiving than hot metal, most of my buddies bow fishing rigs have it and they swear by it.
