Will try the west end again and the pads. I have never had luck there!

I've caught them over there in just about every month of the year and still my biggest fish out of Cypress (9#) came up there.

It will be the dirtiest water in the lake right now but they will still be there.

Admittedly this is one thing i have not done much while on cypress, need to give it more of a try in the future. I have heard of good fish being caught in that area in the past. Good info, thank you

It can definitely be hit or miss but fish that small point (should be tons of flooded stuff right now) then find the creek channel up in the pads. The far right section of the pads near a pretty new house that was built drops from 2-3' to 5' very quickly and the edge is lined with pads. have had some awesome days up there.

Well, we caught 25 to 30 bass yesterday morning, largest was 4lbs 6oz and several 3+lbs, good day.
This morning started in the lily pads and had no luck, caught about 15 on main points.

I fished it last year and didn't get squat.

How were the wake boats?

By 9:30 you needed a seat built to sit in your boat! Lake was like a washing machine which is normal.

Well that sounds like a pretty good day to me! Sucks you didn't find any out West in the pads. I sure would have thought there would have been a few there with all of the rains we've had.

Labor Day is just around the corner so I will finally start spending some time on Cypress when we are out there on the weekends. When I was driving back from Fork Saturday afternoon, I went over the Highway Bridge and despite ZERO wind that lake was rocking! No Thanks!

Yes, its directly East of the little creek that goes to the Tall Tree Marina. Our house is 5 down from the Lake Patrol facility. It's the only one with no boat house in that little stretch but has a large T shaped dock. My boat stays in the garage. I assume you live somewhere out there? You will also see a patterned concrete patio with fire pit next to the water.

I do not live there full time but spend a lot of time there. We have a place in Kings Country (Rabbit Retreat Cove) near the community boat slips. Small place called Just Enough.

Headed back out this weekend. Water has come up only slightly. Should be good don't you think? Except for the Labor Day boats and jet skis.

I miss the 70s.

Come over to lake Prince. The fishing is MUCH better then cypress. We will be there this weekend if you see us in the float tubes or small pontoon say hi! Many many GIANTS have been caught out of that little lake.
