He probably doesn't hunt there during deer season.

That might not be the best place but it doesn't seem like he has many other places to put it.

Let him feed your deer until just before the season starts, then notify.

I would let my property owner know.
He may be aware, he may have given permission.

Deed lines on County GIS websites are notoriously bad and should never be relied upon when property lines are in question. Really they are only good for telling you who the owner is not where they own up to.

Isn't it against the law to set a stand up where the person shooting from the stand almost guarantees a miss will go across property lines and specifically toward a house.

I would call the GW for safety reasons. Y'all do not want to be playing a game of horseshoes and get shot by this guy. Is this Kerry Dugan's former neighbor?

If the guy isn't home leave a note on his feeder to call you.
If he ignores the note and your attempts to talk to him then call the warden.
He may think nobody is hunting the property and he is taking the liberty to place the feeder there. I'm assuming there is no fence?

Just one more cast!

No, there's no fence. Always been used for timber. No cows. Can you get a survey from somewhere?

The thing is, even IF the feeder is on his property, he'll be shooting directly at us.

.....and that is why it is illegal and you need to call the game warden. Do it!

Did you have one done when you got the land? If not you're more than likely just going to find a deed (direction and distance calls) not a drawing like you would if it was a subdivided property.

Take said feeder and pour #1 all around the area to deter deer from visiting.

If said feeder was on his property then he would have no problem reporting it stolen to authorities.

Too close Jacob, for safety, I would contact the home owner first, then if he's "difficult"....Game Warben
