She might as well been closed for me but I did give a good college try. Everyone said it was slow that I asked. Maybe I just suck at new lakes to me. Didn't have the patience to sssslllllllllloooooowwwwwllllyyy fish the bridge. Front end of boat was bouncing like crazy in the whitecaps. Every tree we got bit on we would get one fish and that was it. Don't have much patience to fish 1000 trees and stumps. Finally threw all 5 fish back in the lake and headed home at 11. Tried every color under the sun and finally went back to Orange and Chartreuse Dominators from Jerry Hancock. I was tired of tying. Tired of nibbles. Tired of Tawakoni sun. And I got up at 3am for this??? Until next time adios!

The bridge bite out there has really slowed the last few weeks. Timber is where I would spend my time.

Bobby!

Dang bud I told you if you were having trouble to give me a call. I would have helped put you on some fish.

And yes...you got to fish lots of trees and stumps if your gonna fish timber right now.

If you found a tree with one fish I promise you more were there.

I didn't fish today, but maybe it was just one of those off days which Dad and I have definitely had our fair share of for sure.

I really wanted you to get your Crappie meat today.

Dad and I usually leave the house at 05:30am on the days we are heading down there and I know your North of us.

The Sun is brutal no doubt.

You will get them next time Bobby!!

Hogon,
I was on limited time and there were boats or kayaks on nearly every set of pillars at 6:15am. LOL They must have got the word too. Everyone I talked to said it was just a slow day. We left at 3:45 and forgot the ice chest so I stopped on 380 at the Custer Road WalMart and got one. Then went the wrong way for about 5 miles after I left Lone Oak. hammer

I live about two minutes from that Wal Mart. You were right by my house.

That really stinks that of all days you decide to hit Tawokini it was super crowded and super slow.

Can't believe Caddo only put out 5 keepers for you and keyboard.

Sounds like it was just one of those "OFF" days with a slow bite for everyone.

Dad and I have had our fair share of those too.

I head back out flying in the morning for another 3 days.

If Bobcat, Keyboard, and Ernest can't get them to bite then I'd say it was an "OFF" day.

Hang in there Fellas you will get them next time.

Tomorrow you could sink the boat. That's Crappie Fishing.

Yes It could have been worse. Still had a great time being on the lake at sunrise. Beats the heck out of working!
