This time of year I've always found it important to downsize because the shad are tiny. ..and have to wade through the dinks? No thanks, I'll stick with bigger baits and move on to the next spot.

Right now, I with you Gamblinman. When I use the samller baits (1, or 1-1/2 inch) I catch lots of dinks, and some big ones. But, when I switch to the bigger baits, I do get more bigger one, and still those dinks try to get them in their mouths!
