Seal all water leaks (if any) and install a rigid insulation.

Good luck.

That's not true. They spray foam shops all of the time. Right on the metal.

You are wrong again.

Google spray foam and moisture problems.

On a new roof with no leaks, it's not a problem. He has an old corrugated tin roof and walls. ( no lap screws, seen.)

Btw, how is your patio roof shedding water with the R Panel ridges running in the wrong direction on half of the roof, with a valley in the corner and not enough slope?

Yes, shots were fired! Any boat ramp, any day.

All of the ridges are running down hill....like they should.....plenty of slope. Water runs down hill....maybe they didn't teach you that in flunky roofing school.

Spray foam will work. We have 4 shops done that way, two of which a older. No issues.

I'll be happy to educate you on how to get [censored] done if you need it.

I ended up using batt insulation on my shop building (30 X 30). It was several thousand dollars less than the spray in foam insulation. It's covered on both sides with a plastic coating. I heat and A/C the shop with a large window unit. Performance so far has been outstanding.

you can get R-30 Poly ISO for a lot cheaper than the stuff from Lowes
You could install it between the rafters

This will hold up much better to possible small roof leaks also.

Are you talking about this?

Rmax Thermasheath-3

That was my original plan, but this thread has confused the hell out of me.

no
that is ISO
but
that is only 3.2 R-value
really to be used on exterior walls

http://firestonebpco.com/roofing/insulation/

this is really rigid
would offer more choices for attaching to your building
