Is it at the marina? If so then it looked like it was closed. If it is the other ramp then I didn't look

Just think if it had grass. It would be an AWESOME lake if it had some good grass in it, instead of only on the boats at party cove.

Yes the lake is really clear, especially on the Northern end. Any theories as to why? It's not gin clear or anything like that, but it was so dirty a few months ago and with all of the rain we have been having, it seems strange for sure.

Ok, I researched it a little.
Seems as though the longest days of the year, the recent summer solstice, can cause "bleaching" of zooplankton. This bleaching is common all year, but most concentrated during the summer solstice which was last week. Simply put, the "stain" of the lake, its zooplankton, have been bleached to a transparent state. It will return to its normal stained state soon.

Seems plausible but strange that I don't recall it last year

In the summer I've caught them in over 40 feet of water, but the fish were suspended 10-12 feet off the bottom. In the winter I have caught them on the bottom in 30-35 feet.

Must have been a slow news day, NBC is the only one reporting on it. Have talked to people we know in the Grand Prairie Parks and Recreation and they say there is nothing to worry about. Also Walnut Creek flows into the north arm of the lake.....
