Thank your current Governor. The State being in charge of child support was a plan he put in place when he was Attorney General.

Yeah, I know its not perfect, but I was a little conservative on the amount paid per month, at least by what I pay. I dont know anyone who pays that little of an amount. Even at 1/2% and, half paying, and $500, that is still a buttload of interest someone is making off money that is not theirs. My point is that you aren't calculating interest on 30 day cycles, in this case it's overnight deal, a day or two. Divide your monthly calculation by 30. Its called fuzzy math!! lol I get what your saying, one or two days interest on my payment alone. That's why I don't teach math!! For my scenario to work out, the state would have to keep everyones money for an entire year. Still, even one penny pi$$es me off.

I thought it would be a good idea to wait until my son was grown and gone to get out of a miserable marriage. Then I get blind sided with alimony. Quarter million in cash and assets and I'm still paying.

You wanna talk about holding money....enter the BASS Opens....they will hold your deposit for a year....to see if you "might" be able to fish one event later on. 4-5 divisions across the USA....thousands of folks sign up and wait for one year. Then they issue a refund if you don't fish.

I have heard of BASS doing that. I have no problem with a private enterprise doing it. The "guvment", no sir. But hey, I guess they do it with our income tax every year.

I think child support is the biggest joke. I don't pay child support and I won't. I get my daughter every other week. She doesn't go without at my house or her mother's. We split everything. Some men can't even provide a nice home for their children cause they're having to fork over $600 a month for their ex wive's new car payment.

Reason #2453 on why not to get a divorce with kids involved. Or to move to a country like Philippines were divorce is illegal and so there is no child support. If a girl gets pregnant, then it up to her and her family to take care of the kid, father has no legal responsibility........

I could walk into Mercedes and buy brand new for what I'm paying, I honestly think she would shrivel up and die without my assistance. I know very well if I take away from her, it takes away from my kids. I'm fooked with no lube either way

Bank transfers do not instantaneously appear on your statement. Takes a little to clear.

I did a little math. There are 1 million people who "supposed" to pay child support in Texas. Lets say 1/2 of them do at an average of $500 each. That is 250 Million a month or 3 billion a year!! At a measly 1% rate, that's almost 30 million a year, or around 80K per day. This on top of the 3 dollar fee per month ($36 annually) they added a few years for "administrative fees". Seems crooked, but what else is new. Ding ding ding!!! Floating the payment

Is it the state doing it, or the ACH? I'm gonna bet it's most likely the ACH getting some cash, not the state.
