WE love to make the Tomatilla Tartar Sauce
1/2 lb. Tomatillos (8-10) 1 Cup Mayonnaise 2tsp. fresh lime juice 2 jalopeno peppers, seeded and minced (we use 1) 1/4 cup chopped cilantro 1 tsp ground cumin 1/2 tsp salt
1) Remove the husks from the tomatillos and rinse well, finely chop to make 1 cup ( I like to make sure the tomatillos have time to drain so the tartar sauce won't be so runny.) 2) Stir together tomatillos, mayo, lime juice, jalopeno, cilantro, cumin and salt. 3) Chill and serve
Every fish fry we are asked to make this!

Mayo, lemon juice, fine diced dill pickle, sweet pickle and onion. Add a splash of Tabasco. You can add a little fresh chopped parsley if you want. Done. Mine is similar to this and people love it. I can't stand sweet tartar sauce. 1 cup mayo 2 TBS minced fresh onion 2 TBS diced dill pickle 1 TBS dill pickle juice 1 teaspoon of yellow mustard (more or less) for color 1 teaspoon horseradish fresh ground black pepper to taste a few sprinkles of paprika for color
