Eight years old, going to my first major league baseball game at Wrigley. Walking up the ramp from below the stands into the bright sunshine with the beautiful ivy covered outfield walls, and perfect infield grass, and my Cub heroes in their classic blue pinstripes. No idea which team won the game (odds are it was not the Cubbies back then) but that first image of the field is forever imprinted on my brain.

May sound strange to some folks, but the first time I saw the ocean really made a lifelong impression on me. I still get a little of that feeling every time I go to the ocean.

One time event and ranks first: born in the United States of America. I didn't know it then but came to appreciate it at an early age. No arguing this one

I'm gonna call #5 two events for the same reason. The first bicycle and the first car. Why? First taste of independence--- that realization that you don't have to rely on mom or pop to take you places

Lot's of great days out there...
I did mean what is a great day in the life of a kid that happens every year, like Christmas and Halloween.
It's all good regardless.
There are some great answer up there, and great days. Thanks for playing...IN65

Fishing with my Grandfather for flounder in the great south bay - in a wooden rowboat that was towed to the flounder area by a boat with a motor. The motorboat would drop us and we were free to row about looking for the flounder - "just stay in the area" the motorman said. We would fill a couple buckets full of flounder and maybe the occasional fluke. Then go home and clean them all.
Good Times . . . . .

Hunting in the mountains each year with my dad, uncle, and friends, was definitely a top 5!
