H2o xpress are my go to rods over almost any of the others I have and I've got some decent rods. They're very sensitive and I've never had any break on me , and if for some reason they do I can take em back to academy I tried an Ethos rod last weekend....I went back two days later and bought some more. Great rods for $99 and an exchange warranty is nice too. Wow, you liked them that much! That is saying something since I know you like and have high end equipment. yes. I haven't tried the other two I bought yet, but, if they are the same balance and quality as the 7'3" heavy...I'll be a believer. The two others I bought Wednesday night were a 7'6" XH and a 7'0" "medium Cranker". That composite cranker is the best crank rod I've ever thrown for a bait under a 5xd. I've caught everything from white bass to 4 foot sharks on mine. Never broke one and I have 3.
I can backlash toilet paper.

The 7'6" was used all day today. It is a GREAT flipping rod. I was able to feel very light bites (or at least I THINK they were light). The rod was good for 21 bass and a winning sack. Caught two 5 pound bass, a 3 and a bunch of smalls today with it. No balance issues, no fish control issues. Nothing negative to say about it. Held up great and fished really well. Better than some of the rods I have that are 3 & 4 times the price.
I will take today's earnings and buy some more.

The 7'3" would likely be too fast for a frog rod. Frogs need a little more moderate tip for walking. The backbone would be there....just don't think the action of the 7'3" heavy fast would be the best choice.

I will take today's earnings and buy some more. I have the prototype of that rod. Really like it for heavy cover flipping and punching.

I looked online and couldn't find a 7'6" Ethos available right now. Where are you finding these rods, I'm in the San Antonio area.
