A very timely thread for me. Have never been to Lake of The Pines. Going to be staying at Buckhorn Creek this weekend and will be fishing out of kayaks. Good thing we are close to the dam which should protect from wind a little bit. I was planning to try a little crappie fishing to see if I couldn't round up some fresh dinner one evening. I will take some of these suggestions and try them out, although I am limited in how much lake I can cover with the Mrs. in her kayak.
I got the last available RV spot for the weekend. There were no sites to be had anywhere near DFW. If anyone has any info on the south end they would like to share, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Greg
