I hooked one on Cedar Creek a few weeks ago, at least 30 lbs, took me about 8-10 minutes to get it to the boat, we were fishing a tourney and my wife says just cut the line, i said hell no, that is a 15 dollar crank bait. The fish on Texoma was much larger.

Caught a 65# catfish on a shakey head on Tawakoni under one of the bridges. My son videoed the majority of it and the video is 7 minutes long. He choked down a baby bass colored paddle tail worm.

Caught a 45# catfish on a deep crank in a private community lake, probably fought that one for about 5 minutes. Also choked the lure.

We used to have a spot on Denton Creek where big gar hung out under a vertical bank facing into the current. You couldn't see them but if you threw a tiny Fle-Fly at the right angle and really super slow the FFly would sometimes go under their armpit fin and lodge the hook in the soft spot. Usually took about 15 minutes before they figured out anything was going on then all hail would break pose for another 30 minutes. Most in the 5-6 ft length and every now and then we would land one on 6 lb test.

Saw my brother hook himself in the nose with a slab in freshwater and I think he fought himself for about 3 hours before the ER removed it.

The longest? 45-50 minutes. It was a HUGE lake trout. Hooked it on a medium light rod with 20 lb braid.
