I too, thought of them as a martial arts weapon the first time I saw them, which again, was this past Monday.
I pictured ball room fights and squirrel target practice.
Addendum: However, I'd sharpen the edges and definitely love to kill some rats with those things, a spinner in every color!

In the spirt of Gpa's fad comment.....never forget I've been making this exact comparison for weeks now. Next year you will be the biggest loser in the world if you have one.

I need one. My partner would feel much more comfortable if I stopped playing with my pistol in the car.
I fidget all the time. Part of the reason I don't sleep much, mind won't stop going, and I'm always loving my hands Get you some ball bearings like Captain Queeg.

Yep almost every kid wants one or already has it. I read somewhere last week that the lady who invented the fidget spinner didn't have the $400 to renew the patent. That has to suck really bad. I catch myself spinning that stupid thing all the time. However I think the marketing is genius. Medical device my butt.

These will be banned from schools soon. Mark my words.
Basically, kids are so dependent on having their cell phones in their hands that they don't know what to do with them when they aren't holding one. My kids teachers have already banned them in their classrooms. But there are only 2 weeks of school left and this craze won't last through summer.

they have had "worry beads" for several hundred years and Catholics have had rosary or prayer beads all of which will serve the same purpose....

When I was a kid, we didn't have cell phones. We had pagers but they were only for yuppies and drug dealers. Most of us got by with two cans and a string, or smoke signals. We didn't go to raves in empty warehouses like they do now, with drugs and stuff. We drank cheap booze in a field. There was no manscaping back then and most of us had a mullet. We used to beat the snot out of hippies and queers and we didn't have internet. All pornography was in magazines, where it belongs. Our coolers were made out of Styrofoam and they didn't cost $200. We could go to Piggly Wiggly without a shirt, nobody cared. We didn't need free birth control. We already had it, pull out. We didn't need facebook, we wrote our daily activities on the wall of the bathroom stalls. Our crackers had trans-fat and it didn't kill us. Nothing was gluten free. You know that little white speck on the top of chicken chit?, Well that little white speck it chicken chit too.

They should be banned , our kids need to go back to when people were normal , now it seems like American kids have disorders for everything. I'm lonely , I'm scared , I don't like to be touched , I can't be around peanuts , I can't do this , I can't do that. The wussification of the u.s. is definately real. Stupidest thing I've heard , "you can't have peanuts at our campus because some people are allergic" when did this come about our elders did just fine along with ourselves , but now all of a sudden the masses are allergic to peanut butter. I remember in school if you didn't have lunch a pbnj sandwich was issued and not once did I see anyone die from it
