In the same week when I was a kid stung by an Asp and then three days later I was climbing a tree and stuck my head in a yellow wasp nest. I was stung 13 times on my head and neck. The single Asp sting hurt more than the multiple wasp stings. I do not want to go through either again.

Lots of bee stings as a kin. Had 4 wasp stings on the back of my neck, hurt bad. Hornet got me under my arm and put me out of business for about an hr in a trounament once.

I got to ask Moto, an asp is a really slow moving creature, how the heck did it get in your armpit?

Bumblebee tried crawling up my nose. He hit me right on the end of my nose as I hit him. I cried real tears.

Since we are talking just insects here. The worst I've been hit by was bullet ants. Tarantula hawk and scorpion and asp are next below that. Bullet ant belongs higher on his scale. I know it only goes to 4 but bullet ant should get a 5.

I don't know what ever happened to my collection of strange, rare, and dangerous bugs when we left the Amazon jungle, but I'm sure Tallgrass would have enjoyed it. Bunch of little sealed jars of alcohol with bugs inside. Had one black scorpion about 7 inches long.

They are very light weight critters. Wind can blow them around pretty easily. I had wind blow one onto me that ended up on my shorts that I then ended up sitting on. That lit me up real good.

When I was in kindergarten....I woke up screaming....my parents came in the room and pulled back the sheets....there was a scorpion running around under the sheets....got stung on the temple......

Asp for me too. Much worse than the scorpion or any wasp I've been stung by.

Effer got in my shirt some how while I was outside. I felt something, kept working....popped me again.

I had to look up what an Asp was, I've seen those things all over and guess I should be glad I've never been stung by one.

Growing up I got bit a few times by random spiders, (not the 2 big ones here). Those hurt but the intensity isn't anything like a wasp even though it may go on for a week or more.

It's been a few years but I've been stung by most of those mentioned, except the velvet ant. I've seen those but steered clear. For me, the scorpion was the most memorable, maybe because I was getting off a couch and stepped on it. It hurt all night and was still sore to walk on the next day. I haven't seen an asp in a while but when I was growing up, one of my friends house seemed to be infested. I remember playing hide and seek there. I crawled behind the hedges and immediately came flying out after being stung. Got to looking around and we saw a bunch scattered around the shrubs.
