There are two types of scorpions here in Texas. If you look real close there are two black stripes or three black stripes on their back. I don't remember which is the worse but beware, when the time comes, the worse of the two will burn like he!! for eight hours at the least. Trust me, I had one draw blood. It felt like someone drove a hot nail threw my finger. Scorpions like getting cozy in damp bath towels too. Got stung twice from that as well.

Grab your boots quickly in a dark room at night and put your foot in it all the way and then discover theres a scorpion stinging the chit out of you. Thats a pretty painful thing that happened when i was around 12 years old.

I got nailed by an asp, twice, in my armpit. Took me out for 24 hours.

Little bastard. Those frigging suck. Never been hit by one but sis did on her shoulder and it was bad. I killed one with a hand torch once though.

Had painful stings from various kinds of wasps, bees and scorpions but none of them came close to the pain of a hit from a cow killer/velvet ant. Don't ever want a second go-round with one of those bad boys.

I am surprised at how many of you have been hit by cow killers.
through the shoe is crazy, I knew they have long stingers, but that is insane.

Three wasp stings at the same time on my hand and fingers sucked. Hand actually swelled up on that one. Been stung in the ear and forehead by a red wasp and that wasn't fun either.

I keep a case of wasp spray in the truck for this exact reason. They really are The WAWI of the bug world

Asp. Two different times one has fallen on my neck in the woods. I reach my hand back and it gets my palm. Twice. After reading this I want no part of a cow killer.
