Any recommendations on all-nclusive resorts and places to visit from those of you that's been? Hoping to take my wife at the end of June for our anniversary.

I've stayed at El Dorado Royal and Iberostar and liked them both.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa in Cancun is really nice. You must go to the Coco Bongo. It was a blast. Stay away from the excursions, they aren't all cracked up to be...

Is it generally cheaper to buy a vacation package through like Expedia, or is it cheaper if you book the room directly with the resort and the flight directly with the airlines? Seems like more of a pain that way, but if it's cheaper then I'm all for it.

Stayed in Barcelo and loved it. Very nice beaches and many European topless sunbathers.

Really weird as the websites look exactly the same except for the prices.

If you can wait until Mid September prices will drop quit sharply.

I also liked the Barcelo propeties. They have 5-6 different resort on site at different price points. The beach there is the biggest I have ever stayed on in the Rivieria Maya.

A week from today, I'll be at the UNICO about 30 minutes south of Playa. It just opened in March. I'll take a glance at some of the other resorts and let you know.

If it is a Romantic getaway. Try Secrets Maroma beach. Stay there four our 20th anniversary last year. Adults only. Riu Palace isn't bad either.
If it is more of a party atmosphere Riu Playa car. All Riu properties allow you to have some access to the others of course the more expensive Palace will have more privileges and premium liquors
