2-15 feet:TFO 7'3 H, Daiwa Tatula Type R 8.1, 18lb Sunline FC, Carolina Keeper, 1/2oz tungsten weight.
15+feet: 7'6 Xtra Heavy Ethos, Daiwa Tatula Type R 8.1, 18lb sunline, 1oz tungsten, barrel swivel, 3ft ish 15lb FC leader. To each his own but I am wondering why you use different set ups depending on water depth--I can understand the weight difference but why a leader in deep water vs. no leader in shallow water and a carolina keeper in shallow and regular set up in deep?? I use a shorter, heavier leader and lighter weight shallow (typically around cover) and a longer, lighter leader with heavier weight for deep offshore stuff

I use several Crig set up's . One is a spinning set up , the other a baitcaster . Spinning rod is 10lb main with 8 lb flouro on a 7 foot medium action fast tip . The baitcaster is 15lb main with a 10lb flouro leader . The spinning rod is for shallower water siutations and the baitcaster for anything over 15/20feet . My PB was on the spinning set up ( 12.4lbs ) . I think people would be really surprised how a small straight tail worm ( 4" or 5" ) on lite line gets bites

I like somewhere in the neighborhood 7.5 foot good sensitive, heavy rod. Fast tip lots of back bone. I use a 873 crr, and a orochii xx emtf, and a fast speed shimano. Either 50-65 pound braid or 20 pound flouro. I started using braid for the extra long cast when the fish are just out of reach while fishing spill ways tied or anchored by the barrier cables,i feel like i can cast braid a little farther, no proof or documented data . I like .5 or .75 oz tungsten. Glass bead ,brass cracker, big swivel, 12to 17 pound leader. I'm not picky anymore. I keep around big game , cxx , and seagar flour. Which ever I grab. I like 3 foot leader, not too much longer for less awkward casting. My favorite baits are flukes and big lizards, live crawdad every blue moon for a guilty pleasure.

I often switch from deeper to shallower and back several times in a day. I prefer a traditional style set up with heavier weight and longer leader for the deep stuff. When shallower I've found a Carolina Keeper that adjusts quickly and a shorter distance than usual from weight to hook works better. I prefer not to re-tie all day so this is the C-Rig setups I've found that works best. 2-15 feet:TFO 7'3 H, Daiwa Tatula Type R 8.1, 18lb Sunline FC, Carolina Keeper, 1/2oz tungsten weight.
15+feet: 7'6 Xtra Heavy Ethos, Daiwa Tatula Type R 8.1, 18lb sunline, 1oz tungsten, barrel swivel, 3ft ish 15lb FC leader. 7'6" Veritas MH with Lews BB1 reel. I have 20lb main line flouro with 15lb mono leader. I like the reel to have increased capacity using larger line.
