The St. Augustine in my front yard died this year. Almost like someone sprayed it to kill it.
Little area are coming back but it's going to be a chore to get it back.

I think I might have. Later in the fall.

I killed my St. Augstine on time by over fertilizing it, I put on a little more than recommended thinking it would really improve the quality.

I don't have Bermuda.

But if your lawn is severely infested with weeds, you need to get a weed-n-feed that contains ATRAZINE* but is safe to use on Bermuda. I suggest scouting around and talking to the local fertilizer companies, like Nitro Phos. http://www.nitro-phos.com/products.html

*This is the main ingredient that kills the weeds, but many lawn gurus advise against its use because too many people over do it. Atrazine can kill your flower beds (if sprayed too close) and your trees over time.

Right now half the lawn looks great the other half slowly coming in and with weeds. I think it was September when I added pre emergent and late Match I did weed n feed. Is there anything else I need to add to it or should watering do the rest. Need advice since supposedly its the easiest to maintain..

Image for nut grass. Spray as directed (do not over spray). Depends how far South u live but, still too cool around DFW to come on really strong IMO. I feel all herbicide work best when the temps r above 85*. Dallas n grab grass r a pain in the grASS. U can spot treat with a herbicide but i recommend u hand pull instead. Try 2 get all the root. then, fill in the divets ya left behind Ur lawn will not look much better till the Bermuda grass comes on strong. As stated, still too early IMO. A beautiful lawn gets maintained weekly. If ur not going to do it, let someone else give it a weekly manicure or u r not serious about ur lawn :\
