Thanks Gitter for the reply. The Perdernales is a nice river and a good one to fish. I have only fished several sections of that river and have never caught or seen a Rio. I know Rios are there it's just a matter of finding them. As for sunfish I have not caught anything super large. I did manage a nice Warmouth several years ago fishing by the LBJ ranch. I have also caught a bunch of fat 7" range Bluegill along with a couple of Redear in the 8" range. I only fish that river a couple of times a year. It is just like anywhere you fish. The more you fish a water body the better understanding you will have on the fish and their patterns.
